How to join a Closed Group
Because there is considerable depth to the sharing and the commitment level of participants and facilitators of Closed Groups, there is an expectation of both accountability and follow-through. This would include things such as signing a group covenant, regular attendance, active participation, completing homework and other assignments depending on the type of group. Most groups will remain together for a period of 1-2 years. There will be people transferring in and out as they move through their recovery process.
The following is the typical process for entering a Closed Group:
- Regularly attend the open group for minimum of 6 weeks.
- Complete the S.O.G Orientation or Basic Communications workshop.
- Sign group covenant form.
